Welcome to aoBaru
aoBaru is a small, husband-and-wife-run curry izakaya in Kyoto’s Shijo-Karasuma area.
For lunch, we serve Kyoto-style dashi soup curry, our signature curry bibimbap, and Japanese curry rice.
In the evening, enjoy drinks with dishes such as spice-marinated fried chicken wings and saba no nukadaki, a Kitakyushu specialty of mackerel simmered with fermented rice bran. Finish your meal with curry, or simply join us for dinner without drinks.

All prices include tax.
A table charge of ¥300 per person (tax included) applies during dinner and includes a small appetizer (otoshi). This also applies to guests ordering food only. On Sundays, the charge applies from 17:00. No table charge applies during lunch or before 17:00 on Sundays.
